The Blue Guitar Q & A				EXIT

I am trying to improve the reverb on a Peavey Classic 30. I got some more punch by increasing R26 and R29, but it still sounded "thin". I increased C21 to .0033mfd, but the reverb almost disappeared. Any suggestions?

I just got a crate mia v16 with celestian. I love the distortion when the gain is cranked up but I am wondering if a jensen speaker and a 12 at7 will smooth out the tone. keeping the gain in a position for "mostly clean" and using my guitar volume control to add degrees of dirt without a huge volume boost is my ultimate goal. Classic Rock and Blues tone used.
I want to eliminate using any pedals. Hello..i just discovered your site and i would really appreciate if you answered a couple of questions for me..i have a peavey delta blues 210 with the original speaker and i am very very pleased with it.but sometimes i have felt like i would like a more crystal clear fender-ish tone.what speaker or other mods(changing tubes or other) can i make to get a better sound?and also,is there a possibility to have a led button so as to know which channel i am playing?that is important to me as there is only a slight difference between my clean and dirty channel(dirty is just a bit more dirty than clean).thank you so much.elias -- elias

Thanks for all of the wonderful info over thears.

I have just now cooked my Classic 30 Power Transformer.
Do you have an Idea of the secondary voltages I should look at to get a replacement? Ps: we are 240 ish Volt AC here.

Hi, i just got an old rusty Peavey Delta Blues amp cheap. The problem is that there's sound(from guitar) even when the volume is at 0. And the tremolo sound sometimes changing in rate by itself. Do you have any ideas what could've caused the problems?
Anyway, can you tell me how to add a master volume to the circuit coz from the pdf file of classic 30 mods(i find the schematic quite similar to the delta blues), i can't find any schematic showing this mod.
